This Hot Chocolate with Bourbon cocktail recipe crafted by experts at the Stitzel-Weller Distillery is an easy at-home cocktail that will warm your spirit on a cold day.

Ingredients:

  • 12 oz Blade & Bow Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
  • 8 cups milk of your choice
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup hot cocoa mix
  • 4 tsp honey

Preparation:

  • You can melt chocolate chips using a double boiler, a saucepan, or the microwave.

    Saucepan: Pour about ½ inch to 1 inch of water into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer, then place a bowl on top. Make sure the bottom of the bowl doesn't touch the water. Pour the chocolate chips into the bowl and stir until melted.

    Microwave: Microwave the chocolate chips in 20-second intervals at 50% power, stirring between each interval. The time it takes to melt depends on the size of the chocolate chips: 1 cup takes about 1 minute.
  • Once the chocolate chips are melted, stir in honey, milk, and hot cocoa mix. Allow mixture to sit and cool, about 10 minutes.
  • When the mixture is cooled enough to drink, mix in Blade and Bow.
  • Serve with marshmallows or whipped cream and enjoy!
