
BOURBON HOT CHOCOLATE
This Hot Chocolate with Bourbon cocktail recipe crafted by experts at the Stitzel-Weller Distillery is an easy at-home cocktail that will warm your spirit on a cold day.
Ingredients
12 oz Blade & Bow Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
8 cups milk of your choice
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
½ cup hot cocoa mix
4 tsp honey
Preparation
You can melt chocolate chips using a double boiler, a saucepan, or the microwave.
If using a Saucepan
Pour about ½ inch to 1 inch of water into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer, then place a bowl on top. Make sure the bottom of the bowl doesn't touch the water. Pour the chocolate chips into the bowl and stir until melted.
If using a Microwave
Microwave the chocolate chips in 20-second intervals at 50% power, stirring between each interval. The time it takes to melt depends on the size of the chocolate chips: 1 cup takes about 1 minute.
Instructions
Once the chocolate chips are melted, stir in honey, milk, and hot cocoa mix. Allow mixture to sit and cool, about 10 minutes.
When the mixture is cooled enough to drink, mix in Blade and Bow.
Serve with marshmallows or whipped cream and enjoy!
